General Information of Drug Therapeutic Target (DTT) (ID: TT2QM9D)

DTT Name Adenylate cyclase (ADCY)
Synonyms Adenylyl cyclase; ATP pyrophosphate-lyase
Gene Name ADCY
DTT Type
Literature-reported target
[1]
BioChemical Class
Phosphorus-oxygen lyase
UniProt ID
NOUNIPROTAC
TTD ID
T25889
Function
Catalyzes the formation of the second messenger cAMP from ATP. Its transcript is probably degraded by endoribonuclease LS (rnlA), decreasing cAMP levels and the negative regulator Crp- cAMP, which then induces its own transcription again.
